I thought would have mum change the blog around a little. To remember the Pack Members that have passed on to new homes, or gone over the rainbow bridge.
So far none over the bridge, but here are some pictures and stories about the members of the pack no longer with me at my house. starting with my very elderly and i will steal The Herd’s word here “Cousins” they aren’t Sibe’s but they are good friends… even though one of them is afraid of me… but she is apparently like that with most males.
Some of you may remember Chance. He has been mum’s dog for 14 years. But he lives at Granma’s house. He is a Pomeranian x Japanese Spitz. Mum got him from the pound as a puppy. They have had lots of good times together. Right now he has gone blind in his right eye with a cataract, his left eye is starting to cloud over, and he has arthritis and his fur us starting to fall out. Mum expects that soon he will cross the bridge and she is going to need lots of cuddles from me and Zara when that happens.
Smudge
There is also Smudge; she is 13 i think she came to mum as a puppy. Mum said she will get a picture from Granma. Technically Smudge is mum’s sister’s dog. Smudge is a Border Collie x Kelpie. She came from a Vietnamese Meat market and was brought by one of Granma’s friends for $1. Her name came about because she looked like a little smudge on the carpet…. and she has a black dot on her tongue that Granma thought was dirt and had tried to scratch off YUK!. At the moment Smudge is almost in the same boat as Chance. I don’t see her much because when i go to visit she hides.
And who could forget Storm. This pain in my tail came to mum as a “Free to good home”. But it just didn’t work out, so mum had to find a new home for him after a month of trying to work with him. Don’t be fooled by those eyes that is just the flash of the camera, his eyes are chocolate brown. Storm now lives with a family with older kids in the country, and goes to work with the man that brought him who is a builder and gets to watch well people building things i suppose. Last reports say he is well.
and that is the list so far of pack members…. maybe i should name my house like The Herd did…. i will have to think about that.
